The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Digital Channels Manager to join our growing Digital Content team within our new digital label Zoo 55, part of ITV Studios.
This role will be responsible for overseeing key B2C YouTube accounts as part of a pan-ITV project across key ITV programming, including Sports, Drama and Reality, driving revenue and audience growth across our growing portfolio of digital channels.
You'll be the driving force behind our social video presence, crafting engaging content for YouTube and managing these channels.
As a commercially minded leader and collaborator, you'll oversee a talented team (consisting of Channel Managers and Content Creators) and develop innovative content strategies to reach the right audience and maximise engagement for some of the biggest brands in television. Your knowledge of YouTube and social media will be instrumental in growing ITV's exposure and driving success across the digital landscape.
This role is integral to increasing ITV’s exposure across YouTube, social media and the global AVOD market, so having a keen interest in these areas would be highly beneficial.
The role will report into the Digital Channels Director and is pivotal to expanding our O&O YouTube channel portfolio as we expand as Zoo 55 (part of ITV Studios).
The role will entail but not be limited to:
- Oversee and be responsible for key ITV B2C YouTube channels including ITV, ITV Sport and other reality and non-scripted programming, working with internal stakeholders across the business to drive commercial revenues and audience growth
- Develop and execute social video strategies to drive towards ambitious revenue targets across our digital portfolio, including (but not limited to) our B2C and non-scripted genre YouTube channels
- Mentor and supervise Channel Managers and Digital Content Creators and champion content ideas and monetisation strategies
- Work hand-in-glove with the Digital Channels Director / Digital Creative Director and analytics teams to manage performance across our digital portfolio, opportunity spotting and risk management
- Be key to our end-to-end content curation and delivery process, working closely with key stakeholders (content, rights) to create efficiencies across current and future processes
- Conduct competitor analysis, stay abreast of industry trends and leverage insights to improve content and strategy
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Proven experience working on successful B2C YouTube channels
- Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of successful digital channels with a particular focus on YouTube and other revenue generating social media platforms
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and utilise insights to optimise our publishing strategies across a large set of channels
- Proven track record leading and mentoring a team of Channel Managers and Digital Video Editors / Content Creators
- Demonstrable experience working with producers and labels, showcasing excellent stakeholder management
- In-depth knowledge of YouTube and social media platforms and best practices for building and engaging online communities
- Strong understanding of video editing principles and the ability to create engaging content with Adobe Creative Suite tools

- Enthusiasm for digital platforms and the social media landscape, with a proactive attitude to test-and-learn approaches, particularly with a commercial eye
- A clear understanding and interest for TV programming, including a real passion for Sport
