The team

Join our dynamic team at Emmerdale, one of the UK's most beloved continuing dramas, as a Script Supervisor and contribute to the  successful and accurate delivery of Emmerdale’s drama production. 

The role

You will be involved in preparing all aspects of scripts for the successful pre-production; production and post-production of the programme. Requirement to deal with cast, directors, editorial team and crew in a professional, diplomatic, supportive manner.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Script Supervisor in either Continuing Drama or similar.
  • Experience working with cast members confidentially and diplomatically.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines, in a pressurised environment.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience producing continuity notes.
  • You will also have the ability to self-manage your hours during your prep time before working the long production hours during the shooting of your episodes.
  • You will need to possess strong communication skills and have the ability to liaise with cast, directors, editorial team, crew and post production team in a professional, diplomatic and supportive manner
  • Ability to adapt and experience working with different teams i.e. Director/ADs etc.
  • Competent IT Skills including Google Drive, Google docs; Word; Excel. (Training on Nucleus and PDF Expert will be given).

  • Organisation and time management skills.
  • Communication skills. 
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Continuing Drama processes.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure or own or within a team.
  • Methodical approach to task completion and problem solving. 
  • Ability to develop the knowledge and skills to work under own initiative and without supervision, including the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A demonstrable degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion is very important.
  • Reliable, punctual, adaptable and flexible.
  • Full, Manual Driving Licence preferable.
