Cumbria and the south of Scotland, ITV News Border. 

 

Are you a talented On-Screen Journalist able to find and generate stories on-air and online?

 

We are looking for journalists to join our news team in ITV Border, either in Cumbria or the south of Scotland on a freelance basis.

 

You will be a qualified and self-motivated journalist with a good track record of coming-up with news stories and ideas.  You will have experience of working within a news environment and ideally have local knowledge of the patch.

 

As an established self-starter, you will immerse yourself in the community, ensure our newsgathering reflects the different communities that make up our audience and develop great contacts to deliver agenda-setting coverage across ITV Border.  You will need self discipline and an excellent work ethic and the ability to work remotely. 

 

Alongside your first-class communication and team working skills, experience of self-shooting, laptop editing and live reporting is preferable.
