Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the Media and Entertainment division.  A divisional representative in BSC for Media and Entertainment.

What do I need to get this role/job?

 

Minimum criteria 

  • Minimum qualification requirement – part-qualified or QBE accountant, preferably with relevant and demonstrable experience in management accounting.  
  • Experience in financial accounting is an advantage, but not essential.
  • IT literate with experience using Word, Excel and Google Mail.

​​Reconciliations

  • Production of reconciliations specifically:
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and supplementary analysis.
  • Income and payroll reconciliations if required.
  • Control accruals & prepayments.
  • Management of provisions/balance sheet.
  • Work with DMA to produce quarterly balance sheet pack including commentary, for review by FM for FD/FC.

 

Reporting

  • Production of reports specifically:
  • Monthly Profit and loss and Balance sheet reporting
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts when required.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Cash-flow forecast reporting and variance analysis.
  • Setting up of Sponsorship projects from Finance forms and maintaining project tracker.
  • Training staff as appropriate.
  • Ensuring and providing coverage for month-end for any aspect of our divisional management accounting work, as required.
  • Providing analytical support for DMA and Finance Manager, as required.
  • Working with DMA, FM and other members of the team to standardise processes wherever possible.
  • Any other reasonable duties in support of M & E business areas

 

Customer Service Responsibilities

  • Continually enhance ITV’s reputation for excellent customer service through accurate and timely management reporting and analysis, with efficient and professional response to queries.  Also through performing GL transactional processes and reconciliations efficiently and accurately.
  • Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within Media and Entertainment and across the BSC as a whole; proactively seek opportunities to improve service delivery to customers.
  • Provide information for monthly key performance indicators.
  • Undertake other ad hoc activities required by the BSC management.
