ITV On Demand is the home of the platform that powers the ITV Hub and Britbox UK. Last year the Hub served over 1.8 billion videos to 28 million users across 29 platforms including Amazon Fire, Xbox, Android and iOS devices to name but a few. We’re constantly expanding with year-on-year video delivery increasing by 23%.

Britbox was launched in December 2019 and is ITV’s joint venture with the BBC and other content partners, that aims to deliver a best-in-class subscription video service for great British content - all powered by technology battle-tested on the Hub.


This role entails…


We have an exciting opportunity for an Product Owner/Manager to help deliver our ambitious data strategy. This role will be responsible for driving the success and owning the strategic use of our brand new CDP tool, to help unlock value for multiple areas of the business.


  • Create and own the strategic use of our CDP, setting the priorities for the high value cases and manage the ongoing roll out for all other use cases

  • Work closely with the CDP Audience Specialist to implement a ‘centre of excellence’ on how the CDP should be used by the various teams across multiple departments

  • Secure buy in from senior management by measuring and communicating the value of the CDP

  • Overall responsibility of extracting the maximum value from the tool

  • Ensure the correct amount of funding has been allocated for the CDP to suit all of ITVs needs and requirements

  • Lead on project Ideation for the CDP

  • Help ideate and create strategic ITV Audiences for teams across the business, and coordinate the campaigns and use cases which will unlock value 

  • Keep abreast of new technologies in the space and what we could be doing better

  • Report on and communicate the project results and insight to business stakeholders in a non-technical, commercial and impactful manner


To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:


  • Proven track record of setting up strategic initiatives and using data to drive direct to consumer relationships and business value

  • Experience in use case design and ROI measurement

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tell commercially relevant stories with data

  • Well versed in using CDPs, DMPs or similar tools to generate business value

  • Experience in evangelising data platforms to multiple teams within an organisation

  • Ability to build out platform management processes and governance across multiple stakeholders of teams

The Key role criteria is as follows:


  • Demonstrate clear understanding and experience executing and embedding CDP or DMP use cases, ideally across multiple business areas

  • Experience working with Martech, Adtech vendors, or Personalisation and other similar tools

  • Knowledge of the wider Marketing and Advertising landscape

  • Deep understanding of the current data protection regulations, cookies, GDPR as well as the upcoming privacy changes and implications

  • Desired experience working in the Media or Publishing industry

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and across multiple stakeholders
